Here is what I found out…we love the skinny and jean and they are not going any where. Designers listened when their customers just were not buying with wide leg, mom jeans.
They went in and tailored everything. That really was what the boyfriend jean turned into, a slouchy skinny jean. I call all the jeans now hybrids. The designers went in and tailored everything.
So this year your seeing really trendy jeans that are tailored. The skinny jean worked on everyone. The hybrids this year are working on most. LOL.
I wanted to share a huge tip in trying a trending jean this year. Make sure to watch your shoe picks with jeans. I found out I was really hating several of the baggier looks because my shoes were wrong. I kept wearing my pointy new balance shoes and it was really throwing the look and balance off.
Having a flat wide sneaker just balanced every thing and really made me fall in love with the look of the wide leg from American Eagle. I ordered a size 8 in a short and just fell in love.
Really make sure that the bottom of the jeans hit correctly to keep the let looking long and lean. So another tip I wanted to share is in these trending jeans try sizing up. I can fit into a 6 but I look really good in a 8. LOL. Im serious sometimes we get really focused on a size. Every time I size up I notice I like the baggy jean look a tad more.
